WP3 Funding Survey

As you know, the ERA-Pilot project aims at structuring our rather young scientific area within Europe. With your registration through these pages, WP1 has already been able to draw an accurate picture of the QIPC groups within Europe.

WP3 is now in charge of the analysis of funding structures for ERA-Pilot QIST. Notice that since September 2006 the WP3 leader is Prof. Anton Zeilinger and the survey will be carried out by Dr Sylvain Gigan. It is an essential ingredient for the completion of the project and will support future European policy on QIPC funding, in particular within the upcoming FP7. It will therefore be beneficial to our community as a whole, and eventually to your group, too.

A few months ago, all group leaders should have received a questionnaire about the funding of their research group. Unfortunately, only 10% of the questionnaires have been returned so far. We are aware of how much paperwork groups have to deal with, but getting your input is vital. We have therefore elaborated a simplified new questionnaire that should take you no more than 10 minutes to fill out, and could also easily be filled by someone from your administrative or scientific staff. Please download the questionnaire from the top of the page and return it via e-mailto our secretary (Heather Jones) or directly to Dr Sylvain Gigan

Of course, the information you will provide will be used only for this analysis and will not at any point be made public. In particular, please notice that no ranking between different groups in whatsoever form is involved in this analysis.
